finally we have some details on this bad boy.
Upon emerging from her hideout in the Nevada desert, Alice (Milla Jovovich) is quickly joined by old friends Carlos Oliveira (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps). They also meet up with a whole batch of other survivors, including no-nonsense tough girl Claire Redfield (Ali Larter), K-Mart girl (Spencer Locke), and a fire-powered Florence Nightingale named Nurse Betty (Ashanti). Now instilled with super-human strength, senses, and dexterity as a result of the biogenetic experimentation conducted on her by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice and the rest of the survivors set out to eliminate a virus that threatens to turn every living human undead, and ensure that the mysterious organization pays the price for their horrific crimes against humanity.
3 - 5 years after the events of Apocalypse. The Umbrella Corporation has failed to control a series of T-Virus outbreaks around the world, killing nearly every human. With little of humanity left, a handful of survivors are travelling around the remnants of the world in heavily armored convoys that go to the least populated parts of the world.
The opening scene consists of Alice being thrown into a pit of dogs. This was confirmed by the writer himself Paul WS Anderson. Alice will fight her way out of the pit. Milla Jovovich was also interviewed while in the process of shooting this scene. The interview was on YouTube, but was soon removed.
The complex story is said to pick up 5 years after the events of Apocalypse
The beginning of "Extinction" picks up with Alice and cabdriver L.J. (Epps) riding a modified school bus across the wasteland once known as the city of lights, Las Vegas. Desperate for help anywhere they can get it, the duo recruit no-nonsense tough girl Claire Redfield (Ali Larter) and a fire-powered Florence Nightingale named Nurse Betty (Ashanti). Some scenes of the trailer hint at a romance between Carlos and Alice.
* Milla Jovovich as Alice: The primary protagonist who is being tracked down by the Umbrella Corporation inorder to develop a serum from her blood. Since being exposed to the T-Virus outbreak in Raccoon City, Alice has been captured, cloned, and experimented on. Since her escape/release from the second film, Alice has rugged up as a hero and now has a true purpose to stay alive "in order to extract her revenge"[5].
* Ali Larter as Claire Redfield: A red head who is seeking to find her brother Chris Redfield.
* Iain Glen as Dr. Sam Isaacs/Tyrant: The scientist that has been employed by the Umbrella Corporation. Dr. Isaccs has been involved in the creation of the Nemesis program as well as the creation of Program Alice in Apocalypse.
* Oded Fehr as Carlos Olivera:
* Jason O'Mara as Albert Wesker: Is the antagonist whom has been sent by Umbrella inorder to track down Alice and her companions. Paul Anderson stated a character from the earlier games will appear. During the Game Head special, it was confirmed that Albert Wesker would make an appearance. The character has been speculated to appear by fans since 2005, when Sony purchased the rights from Capcom to use the character[6].
* Spencer Locke as K-Mart Girl: A girl found by Alice's companions hiding out in a Kmart store prior to the outbreak and desertion of Las Vegas.
